We’re Abby and Chrissa, and we just opened up our shop in Williamsburg.

Our mission is to bake bread, make friends in our neighborhood, and find joy in doing what’s better for us, you, and our community.

Abby brings 20 years of culinary experience, from creating intricate dessert menus to developing bakery programs.

Abby earned her associates degree in baking and pastry from the Culinary Institute of America and received a diplome de patisserie from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.

She has worked in cafes, bakeries, and fine dining restaurants across Boston, New York, Paris, and Atlanta. For the past decade she has worked for Tom Colicchio’s Craft Hospitality, overseeing multiple outlets simultaneously - and most recently as the opening Executive Pastry Chef at the Beekman Hotel.

Abby’s dessert menu anchored Temple Court’s 2-star review in The New York Times, and has prepared several dinners at the James Beard House.

Chrissa grew up in a restaurant family.

Chrissa’s family owned, operated, and worked in a myriad of restaurants in Seattle’s Chinatown. After graduating from NYU with degrees in Journalism and Dance, Chrissa worked with chefs such as Thomas Keller, Eric Ripert, and The Franks of Frankies Spuntino at Artisan Books.

Publishing cookbooks was the glimpse into the industry she needed to pursue an operations role at Riverpark with Sisha Ortuzar. She honed her service skills at Craft, and as a part of Dan Kluger’s opening management team at Loring Place, where she was nominated for an NYC Hospitality Alliance award. Most recently, she was the Director of Business Development for a cool real estate project in Midtown called Company.

Chrissa is most proud of leading programming and events for Toklas Society, a non-profit that fostered personal and professional development of women in hospitality from its founding in 2013 through 2019.
